Color & spectral imaging each contribute applications for color verification.

Color imaging works well for color sorting and elimination of different colors from a target color.

Spectral imaging works in situations where higher color precision is needed. Precision color measurement and verification is needed for inks, dyes, prints, materials, and other applications where color consistency is important.

Changes in apparent color can affect consumer confidence in a product as well as erode brand recognition of logos and materials. AutoVision's ColorChecker software can help maintain consistency in appearance across production runs and over long periods.

Layout Verification --
PartChecker vision software checks for presence and accuracy of printed materials.

Each sub-region of the image has an expected position and profile (size, color, pattern). The measured part is compared to a defined part in the customer's inventory database. Any notable discrepancy is flagged and the part is either re-worked or rejected. Bad or inaccurate materials are reduced or eliminated before they get to the customer.
